Submit a film for consideration
SUBMISSIONS NOW OPEN
Leeds Queer Film Festival takes place over four or five days in the Spring. We screen short and feature length films in all genres.

We typically open submissions in mid-summer for the following year's festival. Please check our Film Freeway Page for updates and to submit your film. All films must be submitted through Film Freeway. If you have any problems using the site, please get in touch and we'll help!

We are creating a space to showcase queer cinema with a focus on independent and DIY films. We aim to screen films that elevate and prioritise the voices and work of those most marginalised within our queer communities.

We are not-for-profit and any money raised goes towards supporting queer filmmakers as much as possible and we aim to make the festival as affordable and accessible as we can. The festival is organised by volunteers and is open to newcomers each year.

We screen all of our films with English subtitles (even those in English) for accessibility. If you are unable to provide a version with English subtitles, we may not be able to screen your film.

As we are a non-profit DIY film festival with limited funds, we cannot guarantee payment but we aim to give proceeds to filmmakers after the festival via Audience Award prize(s)

Please only submit your film if you have the authority or permission to do so, and if you have the intention to have your film screened at our festival if it is selected.
